Ask the Expert: What is Dynamic Power Reserve?

MC Machinery Laser Applications Engineer Ryan Conroy explains Dynamic Power Reserve (DPR), a technology used in Mitsubishi fiber laser oscillators to ensure stable, consistent processing.

DPR maintains rated power throughout the lifetime of the oscillator by holding power in reserve. This prevents gradual or immediate power loss.

With DPR, 50 percent of diodes in a module would need to fail to experience any type of power loss.
